SUP to the Drie Leien

🛶 Route description

Fancy a bit longer trip on your SUP, where you spot beautiful houses along the way and the water is your guide? This loop along the Leie allows you to quietly enjoy the green Sint-Martens-Latem and its hidden gems.

From the boat dock, you paddle up the Leie. Soon you'll pass the Tempelhof, a stately domain hidden among the greenery. The start of the route is calm and rural, accompanied by the soft sound of the rippling water.

The environment is slowly changing: large villas pop up along the banks and give you a glimpse of life by the water. You glide further past Yachtclub The Leie Snelvaarders, where a motorboat occasionally docks. Here it becomes clear how the Leie lives and breathes.

You will eventually achieve The Three Lies, the point where the river divides. Take a break, look back, and then you'll return the same way. The peace and quiet on the way back completes the picture.

💡 Tip

Bring plenty of water and sun protection. This route takes just a little bit more time, but it is well worth it.
