👉 Where can I SUP in Leuven?
The Dobber locker is located on Kolonel Begaultlaan near Studio Manhattan, just outside the city center. From the pontoon at Marie Thumas, you can paddle on the Leuven-Dyle canal towards the Bellefroid Ponds.
👉 Can I also rent a kayak from Dobber in Leuven?
No, at this location we only rent SUP boards. Would you prefer kayaking? Discover our location in Herentals.
👉 Can I SUP on the Dyle in the center of Leuven?
No. The Dyle through the city center is too narrow, has low bridges, and too much current. The Leuven-Dyle canal at Studio Manhattan is wide, long, and calm – a much more pleasant environment for SUP.
👉 How much does it cost to rent a SUP in Leuven?
From €14.99 for 1 hour, €19.99 for 1.5 hours, and €24.99 for 2 hours. You pay per board, not per person. All rates are visible immediately when booking. The longer your session, the cheaper the hourly rate.
👉 How far can I paddle on the Leuven-Dyle canal?
The paddle route towards the Bellefroid Ponds is 4.5 km round trip – ideal for 1.5 to 2 hours. Along the way, you'll also pass the Stella Artois brewery, a striking landmark from the water. Fancy a longer trip? The tour to Wijgmaal covers a whopping 9km!
👉 Is paddleboarding in Leuven suitable for beginners?
Yes. The canal is wide, calm, and has no current – ideal for a first time on a SUP.
👉 Can I go paddleboarding with children in Leuven?
Children aged 10 and older may paddleboard independently, provided they are accompanied by an adult. We allow 1 person per SUP board, so unfortunately, children under 10 cannot join. From 16 years old, young people may book and go on the water completely independently.
👉 Can I go paddleboarding with a group in Leuven?
Studio Manhattan is an excellent location for team building or a trip with friends. Book the entire locker or contact us via our groups page for a customized offer.
👉 When is Dobber open in Leuven?
Open every day from April to October. You choose your start time - from early morning until sunset.
👉 Is Dobber Leuven accessible from Brussels for a day trip?
Absolutely. Leuven is 30 minutes from Brussels by train - and Studio Manhattan is within cycling distance of the station. A SUP tour on the canal is an ideal day trip from the capital.
👉 Where do I park if I rent a SUP in Leuven?
De Kolonel Begaultlaan is easily accessible by car. It's best to park at Parking Vaartkom.
