Looking for an accessible route in peace and quiet? This short one-hour trip on the Bocholt-Herentals Canal departs from the Breykenshoeve and lets you discover the Kempen landscape from the water.
You'll start at the Breykenshoeve, where you can immediately enter the quiet canal. The water is flat and the shores are wide and green, so a perfect setting for paddling in peace and quiet. While choosing your own pace, you'll glide through the typical Kempen landscape of rows of trees while occasionally waving to the occasional cyclists along the towpaths.
After about 1.5 km, turn around and sail back on the same road. The route is well-organized and easy to follow, which also makes it suitable for beginners or a relaxing trip with friends or family.
Complete your trip and enjoy a delicious artisan ice cream at the Breykenshoeve after paddling.
